Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Addis Ababa City Tour
Tour the National Museum and Holy Trinity Cathedral. Drive to Entoto Hills for city views and visit the Sheromeda market.
Day 2: The Monolithic Churches of Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela and tour the magnificent rock-hewn churches. Enjoy a traditional coffee ceremony in the late afternoon.
Day 3: Final Lalibela Visit and Return to Addis
Visit the remaining churches of Lalibela before flying back to the capital for the night.
Day 4: Flight to Semera and Drive to Hamedela
Fly to Semera and drive into the Danakil Depression. Stop for lunch at Lake Afdera before camping under the stars in Hamedila.
Day 5: Dallol and Erta Ale Volcano
Visit the colorful minerals of Dallol and the salt mountains. In the afternoon, drive to the base of Erta Ale and trek to the volcano’s edge.
Day 6: Return to Semera and Departure
Watch the sunrise on the volcano before driving back to Semera. Fly to Addis Ababa for your final departure transfer.
