Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Addis Ababa – Yirgalem
On arrival, you will be met at Bole International Airport and then driven to the southern part of Ethiopia to the town of Yirgalem, located 350 km from Addis Ababa. On the way, you will have a stop at the Awash River and Lake Ziway to visit aquatic birds, then drive to Hawassa for lunch. After lunch, you will continue the drive to a lodge in Yirgalem. You will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge.
Day 2: Wondo – Yirga Cheffe Coffee Plantation
This morning after breakfast, you will be driven to Aleta Wondo to visit the Wottona Boltuma Coffee plantation and the stelae park located around Aleta Wondo. You will have lunch in Aleta Wondo, then late in the afternoon, drive back to Yirgalem to spend the night at the lodge.
Day 3: Yirgalem – Yirga Cheffe Coffee Plantation – Hawassa
In the morning after breakfast, you will be driven to Yirga Cheffe. On the way, you will have the chance to visit one of the interesting villages in the area. In Yirga Cheffe, you will visit a coffee plantation and then have lunch in Dilla. In the afternoon, you will be driven back to Hawassa for a leisure stay at a lakeside resort.
Day 4: Hawassa – Addis Ababa
In the morning, you will have a chance to see the fish market at Lake Hawassa, then we will be driving back to Addis Ababa. In the evening, attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
