Travel Itinerary
Afternoon: Market Visit and Cooking Experience
During the daytime, we will explore the local market to see the raw materials used in Ethiopian cuisine. We then visit a local home to see how the staple food, Injera, is made. You will learn about the fermentation and cooking process, as well as the intricate preparation of the traditional coffee ceremony, a cornerstone of Ethiopian social life.
Evening: Cultural Dinner and Music
For the evening, we visit one of the best cultural restaurants in the city—either 2000 Habesha or Yod Abyssinia. Here, you will try a variety of Ethiopian foods, sip on honey wine (Tej) or local beers, and enjoy a spectacular show of cultural music and dances representing the diverse ethnic groups of the country.
