Full Day: Menagesha Suba Forest Exploration
On arrival, we will meet you at the airport or your hotel and drive to Menagesha Suba Forest. This forest was originally protected by Emperor Zera Yacob (who reigned from 1399 to 1468) and covers a total area of around 2,500 hectares. The park is home to massive natural trees like Juniperus and Erica Arborea and is a premier destination for a day trip due to its remarkable indigenous tree species. During your walk, you can observe 150 recorded bird species, including five Ethiopian endemics such as the Abyssinian Catbird and the Yellow-fronted Parrot. You may also encounter mammals like the endemic Menelik’s Bushbuck. After a guided nature walk and exploration, you will enjoy a relaxing lunch before driving back to Addis Ababa.
