Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Jinka and Drive to Turmi
Fly from Addis Ababa to Jinka and drive directly to Turmi to meet the Hamer people and explore their local neighborhoods.
Day 2: Nyangatom and Dassanech Tribes
Spend a full day visiting the Nyangatom and Dassenech people living along the river. Attend local ceremonies if dates align.
Day 3: Karo Tribe and Jinka Museum
Visit the Karo tribe in the morning before driving back to Jinka to tour the Omo Valley research center and museum.
Day 4: Mursi Village and Fly to Addis
Visit a Mursi village in Mago National Park. Return to Jinka for lunch and fly back to the capital for an evening cultural show.
Day 5: Fly to Semera and Drive to Hamedila
Fly to Semera and drive to Hamedila. Visit Lake Asale at sunset for drinks on the salt flats before open-air camping.
Day 6: Dallol and Erta Ale Volcano
Explore the volcanic landscapes of Dallol. Drive to the base of Erta Ale and trek to the summit to watch the boiling lava lake at night.
Day 7: Return to Semera and Addis
Visit the lava lake at sunrise before driving back to Semera via Afdera. Fly back to Addis Ababa for your final departure.
