Full Day: Archaeological and Historical Sites
Drive southwest of Addis Ababa to visit several archaeological sites as well as the intact rock-hewn church of Adadi Mariam. At the prehistoric site of Melka Kunture, you have the chance to witness the long history of our species’ ancestors through various fossil and tool exhibits. You will then proceed to visit the stelae of Tiya, dating back to the 14th century, which is listed as one of Ethiopia’s nine UNESCO World Heritage sites, before returning to Addis Ababa.
